When you think about it, isn’t it true we expect a lot from people, from ourselves and isn’t it true they expect a lot from us. living up to an expectation, high standards can really make a person lose touch with their higher self. always seeking to please, or becoming angry or extremely disappointed when your expectations of another person or yourself don’t follow through.

It brings on this repetitive cycle of depression one can only be in it to really understand it. When you live up to your expectation, you are happy and satisfied for a moment till another event or situation arises and brings around the same issues all over again. I am certain you have been through this yourself. I hope by writing this post, whether or not you realise the basis of what is happening, my aim is to bring an awareness to the situation. An example i will point out is the media. The way it portrays how children should look by feeding them physical images to live up to which only gives low self worth, eating disorders and feelings of worthlessness.

Parents who expect a child to live up to their expectations of another sibling is just as harmful. All this creates is destructive relationships to the person and the people close to them, it closes down communication barriers to getting to know the person of who they really are. Every person has a uniqueness and it is exists in every single soul. It is you accepting you as you are without worrying about another persons opinion of what they think of you or how you should be or do.

Expect nothing and gain everything. Accepting yourself just as you are, and having that same acceptance for others can only bring positive change. Understanding the difference which sets you apart from the rest of the world is what makes you unique, beautiful and valuable. So nurture your gifts, be grateful for every moment. Dance in the sun and party in the rain. You are perfect just the way you are. So don’t hold back because someone once said you couldn’t, shouldn’t or wouldn’t do it. If you’re passionate about something, do it. Don’t wait, another day, week or month. Make plans, set goals and achieve what you were born to do. And that is to just express yourself by being you.

Low self image and self esteem are the roots of not loving yourself. Almost 95% of you reading this believed in conditional love at some stage in your lives. This love puts limits on us by believing the only way to have the pleasure of experiencing love is by receiving it from somebody else. That is known and proven to be a recipe for misery. When you don’t love yourself, what you are really doing is telling the universe that you are undeserving of any vibrational match to experience pure love.

Truth is, love exists from the inner core of each human being and living thing. It is always present. For some of us it is so deeply sealed by layers of hurt, pain and low self worth it seems impossible to retrieve. It may feel this way but this is not true. This article will cover some secrets about yourself you already knew before entering into this world. I am here just to remind you of it.

So let’s begin the basic process, and the secrets to radiate your soul back to life.

Say NO To Self Criticism Self criticism is that negative internal dialogue inside out minds intoxicating the soul because it lowers our self-esteem. Calling yourself fat, ugly or stupid are limiting our beliefs and stopping us from living a full abundant life. To stop self criticism, the simple answer is to be aware. Be aware of your thoughts, make a choice by turning it into something that is constructive and kind.

Seek Positivity In Everything You See And Do The wonderful thing about having a mind of your own is you have the power to change your thoughts by turning negative thoughts into positive thoughts. Learning to be positive is a skill to train your brain. Believe in yourself, know you can achieve your goals, praise yourself daily, focus on what you do want to manifest in your life, surround yourself with positive people.

Embrace The Power Of Forgiveness Making mistakes are inevitable. It is part of being human. It is essential to help us grow, and we’ve all made some in the past. Let go, forgive yourself since there is really no point carrying it with you because all it is doing is crushing your soul.

Kill The Negativity With Positive Affirmations Using positive affirmations and repeating it daily, out loud or internally can help your self-esteem grow. For example, you can repeat ” I love and accept myself just as I am unconditionally” several times a day. For more examples, click here.

Take Time Out To Be Grateful Be grateful for your uniqueness you’ve brought fourth into this world. Write a list of all the things you like about yourself. This can be as simple as having the lungs to breathe in air, for the eyes to see, for the home you have.

Let Go And Relax You need to take time out and spoil yourself once in a while. Take long baths, facials, relax at the beach. Absolutely anything that makes you feel at peace by doing something for you.

Be Good To Your BodyYou’ve heard the saying  “A healthy mind is a healthy soul”. Treat your body with love and care. It is important to keep yourself physically fit and healthy by feeding it good nutritious food and daily exercise to reduce stress, obesity and disease. Your body helps you in more ways than you are really aware so do yourself a favour a be good to it as you only have one body and not two.
