Live your life with no regrets is a motto we should all be willing to seek. It is useless ruminating over the past and leading to thoughts like “if only I did this” or “if only I did that”. Fact is, the past has come and gone and there’s no point thinking about something which cannot be changed. Like everyone else, every once in a while we make mistakes. Failure is a matter of perception. In every situation there is a positive light. Mistakes are good for us, as they are there to help as learn to grow. For every mistake we make brings us further to understanding and accepting of ourselves so we can teach other people. It is a series of lessons, advancing us to a higher way of living and loving. This is a gift. There is no use for being born with the perfect body, mind, spirit and experiences. What good would that do? What would you be able to learn from it? Life will get boring.

The mistakes we go through are the exact experience we need to become who we are today. Don’t let yourself get soaked by the negativity of it all. Don’t feel terrible, and don’t call yourself stupid. Instead recognise the experience for what it is. Accept it, appreciate it, and consider what happened and why it happened the way it did. Learn from the events and move on. Be grateful you had a chance to learn something new. Life is what it is, it’s all about choices and all choices come with mistakes. Mistakes bring out the light in you, they present wisdom.
